Sten Hammerhand is the Jarl of Ostkrag.
His town is one of the towns that was run over by the Temujai in Oakleaf Bearers Borsa, Oberjarl Ragnak's hilfman, calls him Sten Gluehand, because of his habit of tax evasion. Just before the Temuaji invasion of Skandia, Erak Starfollower is sent to arrest Sten in Ostkrag. He is reluctant to do so as tax-dodging was normal thing to do in Skandia and something Erak himself was quite fond of.
Erak never reaches Sten's home due to the Temujai invasion.
